The story so far,

 

Tim has participated in strength training for over a decade while competing at a national level in athletics for sprints and previously having played representative cricket. The passion for strength training for Tim comes through a love of anatomy and physiology and the question of what are humans actually capable of in terms of athletic performance.

 

But in order to create this passion Tim has trained in many different scenarios and methods through starting in an environment where a former bodybuilder introduced Tim into strength training and creating a routine. From there Tim was introduced to a completely different training ethic with the military spending a year with the Royal New Zealand Air Force training for the Military Police. This was where Tim's passion for strength training came from as before it was just a part of his life as a routine where he believed in competition the military made me ask the questions of why, and made him want to seek a deeper answer scientifically and learn more about human physical capability.

 

Strength training isn't a perfect answer of course and lifestyle choices in nutrition, social parameters and respect for volume and recovery after exercise must be used accordingly for best results. For the better part of the past ten years Tim has been developing methods of working through these elements of strength training, working with experience, trial and error and research into current literature on strength training techniques.

 

Tim has worked with national representative athletes, secondary school national volleyball champions, bodybuilders, high school sports teams and individuals seeking to better their health through what they would have considered alternative means and loved every moment of it.

 

 

Tim makes it his mission to always ask the hard questions, people in this industry too often give you the answer you want to hear because its an easy solution and it makes you feel good. But hearing the truth puts you on a greater path to a solid training ethic that will yeild the best results in your training.

 

 

Recently Tim completed a Bachelor of Sport and Recreation and now have decided to dedicate himself to giving his knowledge to others through the education of strength training and conditioning which will be supported by this web site. I also aim to improve my own experience through travelling to seminars and participating in strength related courses around the planet, all the time increasing my depth of knowledge and understanding.
